Exoscale Snapshot now support application consistent backups for Windows instances using Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).

When application consistent snapshots are enabled, Windows safely prepares the system before the snapshot is created. This means the data is properly written to disk, ensuring clean, reliable backups.

Instead of basic crash-consistent snapshots, you now get application consistent backups that are ready to restore for Microsoft workloads like SQL Server, Exchange, and file services.
